For this photo the Weltaflex was fitted with a 1 dioptre close up lens on both the viewing and taking lenses. These lenses are separated by a couple of inches and so when you are working this close you have to compensate for 'parallex' by framing the picture on the focussing screen and then moving the camera up by an amount that corresponds to the distance between the two lenses.

I think that you wil agree that this is not bad quality for a camera that in its day cost me a modest £13.
